This would definitely require a lot of technical work and machined goods to be imported from the US, EU, China and elsewhere.
If our foreign aid money all came back home but instead of going to weapons manufacturers it went to developing advanced economies it would definitely be a win-win.
America needs to focus on the Americas. Sounds logical to me , that’s the best solution to the migration issue that no one talks about. A wall / physical barrier doesn’t remove the underlying demand
